[alert] (EAI 2)Name or service not known: mod_unique_id: unable to find IPv4 address of

If httpd (apache) is not working, restart fail then you need to check for error log. Once I got the error as

"[alert] (EAI 2)Name or service not known: mod_unique_id: unable to find IPv4 address of "

In order to resolve this issue you will need to check /etc/hosts and make sure that the hostname entry is correct.

Example of correct hosts enty is as below :

 root@neptun [~]# cat /etc/hosts127.0.0.1               localhost.localdomain localhostYour server ip            server.domain.com serverroot@neptun [~]#
