License server hostnames could not be resolved to IP addresses

If you are getting below error while updating cPanel license with /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt

License server hostnames could not be resolved to IP addresses

In order to fix this issue you need to check /etc/resolv.conf make sure the name servers are correctly mentioned there as well needs to check /etc/hosts if the entry for localhost is correct?


You can easily find on net how the entries in /etc/hosts should be.
